The Peloponnese is a peninsula in Greece that extends to the south of the country and boasts a mild climate all year round; in particular, spring and autumn are like a summer, hot, but not sultry, and the area lends itself to seaside activities, visits to traditional stone villages, where time seems to have stopped, and natural glimpses of rare beauty such as the Diros cave or the Mani region.

There are numerous destinations for day trips and beaches that can be reached from each stop on the tour; as well as activities such as horse riding at sea or simply tennis or golf.

Departure from UK. Arrival in Athens, collection of the car at the airport and departure for Kalamata: 240 km of motorway. On the way there is the possibility of visiting the theater of Ancient Epidaurus, Ancient Corinth and the famous and evocative strait that connects the Ionian Sea to the Aegean Sea. Day at leisure to visit the attractions of the area. Overnight in Kalamata.

DAY 3

Departure for Limeni: 80 km of provincial road. On the way there is the possibility of visiting the characteristic village of Kardamyli, seaside activities on the Stoupa beach. Overnight stay in Limèni.

DAY 4

Departure for Monemvasía: 90 km of provincial road. On the way there is the possibility of visiting the characteristic town of Gytheio. Overnight stay in Monemvasía.

Departure for Nauplia: 100 km of provincial road and 130 km of motorway. Overnight stay in Nauplia.

Day at leisure to visit the attractions of the area. Overnight stay in Nauplia.

DAY 8

Departure for Athens: 140 km of highway. Drop off the car at the airport and depart for Italy.

THE STAGES OF THE TOUR

KALAMÁTA

On the Athens/Kalamata route:Theater of Epidáuro, Ancient Corinth, Strait of Corinth. Kalamáta it is a pleasant town overlooking the sea. Worth visiting, the legendaryIsabeau Castle, on the website ofAcropolis of Farai which offers a breathtaking view of the city. LIMÉNI

On the Kalamáta/Limèni route: village of Kardamyli, beaches of Kalamitsi and Stoupa.

Limèni it is a characteristic fishing village with stone houses.

Same day visits: the village of Areopoli, with its characteristic stone houses and Byzantine churches, and the suggestive Diros Cave, whose visit takes place partly by boat and partly on foot.

MONEMVASÍA

Narrow cobbled streets beautifully restored stone buildings, the Kastro it is divided into two parts, the lower city and the upper city.

A rocky, winding path leads to the Youlás Fortress which offers an exceptional view of the city!

NÁUPLIA

The city of Náuplia was the capital of Greece in 1831/1833 and is today one of the most beautiful cities in Greece.
Thanks to its multicultural past, Náuplia has a beautiful Old Town pedestrian, with facades of houses from the Venetian, Franconian, Turkish and Hellenic periods masterfully restored. Here you can stroll through the alleys and enjoy the atmosphere of the cafés under the balconies full of flowers. From the port promenade, the island offshore Bourtzi with its castle and Palamidi, historic fortress that dominates the city is a romantic setting at sunset.
