THE OTHER ISLANDS
MILOS
Uncontaminated and full of sandy beaches and rocky ravines of all kinds bathed by a turquoise sea, Milos is the ideal island for an "all sea" holiday.
The beaches of Milos are known throughout the world for their colours: white and sandy beaches alternate with rocky bays sculpted by the wind, platinum-coloured beaches with coves with red, yellow or black rocks. Crystal clear waters, colored rocks and enormous expanses of sand make it one of a kind; the island has over 80 beaches of various sizes and is still far from the large mass tourism present in other more well-known islands.
Its volcanic nature means that the landscape changes continuously.
Whether you love nature and the wild sea without frills or establishments and comforts, Milos is for you.
The island is full of things to see: one of the most evocative locations is certainly the Paliorema sulfur mine, the sunset from Plaka is unparalleled, eating in a seaside tavern is a unique experience. Pollonia is an ancient fishing village in which quality hotel facilities have recently been created. Klima, a very typical fishing village dotted with white houses with pastel colored window frames, will not fail to amaze you. Adamas, the capital and the port of arrival for ferries, is a seafront full of clubs: for those looking for nightlife, Milos also offers this, in moderation, but there is no shortage of choice.
